1. Human Rights Due Diligence in support of Decent Work (HRDD4DW)

    1 January 2024 - 1 December 2028,

    The European Commission (EC) and the International Labour Organisation (ILO), through its Multinational Enterprises and Responsible Business Conduct Unit (MULTI) have established a longstanding and productive partnership on driving the uptake of responsible business conduct (RBC) and decent work in EU trading partners. Grounded in ILO’s rights-based approach, and with activities firmly based on international labour standards and instruments that the ILO has a mandate to promote, the HRDD4DW project will help ensure that its constituents are able to conduct and engage in human rights due diligence to advance decent work.

    The inter-agency project "Ending child labour in supply chains: Addressing the root causes of child labour in supply chains through an area-based approach" (CLEAR Supply Chains), funded by the European Commission, brings together the ILO, as the leading agency, FAO, ITC and UNICEF to jointly address the root causes of child labour, with a primary focus on the coffee supply chain, and to leverage existing efforts in the minerals supply chain, particularly in cobalt.
