Fourth Meeting of the Special Tripartite Committee of the Maritime Labour Convention, 2006 (MLC, 2006) - Part II (5 to 13 May 2022)

The fourth meeting of the Special Tripartite Committee will take place in two parts. Part I was held in a virtual format from 19 to 23 April 2021. Part II took place from 5 to 13 May 2022 in a hybrid format.

Amendments

The amendments adopted by the third meeting of the STC were approved, on 6 June 2022, by an overwhelming majority of delegates to the 110th session of the International Labour Conference. The amendments were notified to member States on 23 June 2022, in accordance with Article XV, paragraph 6 of the MLC, 2006. The period to express formal disagreement runs until 23 June 2024. The amendments are expected to enter into force on 23 December 2024, in accordance with Article XV, paragraph 7 of the MLC, 2006.
